Flapjack

The ingredients:
  • 175g butter (salted is ok)
  • 80g golden syrup or honey
  • 90g treacle
  • 175g sugar (granulated or muscavado)
  • 350g porridge oats
Optional Ingredients
  • 1/2 unwaxed lemon finely grated zest
  • or lemon juice
  • pinch of ground ginger
Equipment
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Weighing scales
  • Grater (optional)
  • Baking tray or pyrex dish
  • Grease-proof paper
Procedure:
  1. Heat fan assisted oven to 423 K.
  2. Mix ingedients in mixing bowl.
  3. Place on tray or dish in preheated oven for 2400 seconds.
