Notes:
The high-carbon high-silicon bainite can also be called low temperature bainite. It differs from the classical bainite in that in transforms without forming carbides and at a low temperature (as low as 125oC) this results in an incredibly fine microstructure, high dislocation density and high levels of carbon retained in the ferrite.
