Cupcakes

The ingredients:
  • 110g self raising flour
  • 110g caster sugar
  • 110g butter or margerine
  • 2 eggs
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp food colouring
  • 300g Icing sugar
  • Icing sugar / butter mix
  • Decorations
  • Hundreds and thousands
  • Glazed cherries
Equipment
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Weighing scales
  • Sieve (optional)
  • Cupcake baking tray
  • Paper cake cases
  • Grease-proof paper
Procedure:
  1. Heat fan assisted oven to 453 K.
  2. Mix cake mixture
  3. Spoon into cake cases
  4. Place cake tray in the preheated oven 480-600 seconds, until tops are golden brown and a skewar comes out clean.
  5. Allow cakes to cool on a wire rack.
  6. For decoraction with icing, sieve icing sugar adding to large mixing bowl and stir in water to make a smooth mixture before adding food colouring. For fairy cakes drizzle icing on cakes and add 100s and 1000s.
